KathleenParr: Par/Tenyohegy/Gyor
Can someone please help me to find the [ COAT of ARMS ] for my family. They are Par, from Tenyohegy, Gyor, Hungary.
I found the name spelled so many different ways in the LDS films and USA records. The different spellings are Par,Paar,Parr Pŕl/Gŕl/Gŕr/Gaal/Gaar. Between the english, hungarian, german and latin ,many different spellings. The one thing that did stay the same was their residence, from the late, 1700's to the early 1900's, they stayed in the location of #337 Gy#337,r it is a town close to Tenyohegy.
However they did move from building to building, I realize that this is a very small village and had no streets. My grgrandfather's name was "Par Farkas" [ I was told 2 surnames]. I don't know what that means, if someone could explain these things to me, it would be so helpful. Thank you, Kathleen. I have many hungarians in my family any history or information to guide me would be a blessing.
